| The China motion controls industry in 2007 experienced an exceptional growth rate of 20% which is significantly higher than the growth rate of worldwide motion controls market. The rapid growth was linked to strong increases of machine tool and textile machinery market in 2007.
Motion control is a sub-field of automation, in which the position and/or velocity of machines are controlled using some type of device such as a hydraulic pump, linear actuator, or an electric motor, generally a servo. Motion control is an important part of robotics and CNC machine tools.
